The Lisbon Loop
Bikepacking The Lisbon Loop Adventure 🇵🇹🚴♂️
Get ready for an unforgettable ride as Gravel Up North heads to Portugal for a 5-day off-road bikepacking adventure through some of the most stunning terrain south of Lisbon. This isn’t just a ride — it’s a proper escape.
Starting in Lisbon, we roll out into the wild, carving our way through gravel tracks, rolling countryside and remote trails. The route loops through Setúbal, Montemor-o-Novo, Évora and Coruche, serving up a perfect mix of challenging riding, incredible scenery and authentic Portuguese culture.
After the ride, we return to Lisbon for 3 nights in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities — think great food, cold beers, and well-earned recovery while soaking up everything the capital has to offer.
Expect big miles, big laughs, and a proper bunch of Cunts.
Gravel. Sun. Suffering. Lisbon.

Official Rules for the Lisbon Bikepacking Expedition
1. Jamie is banned from navigation duties.
Under no circumstances is he to touch the map, GPS, compass, or “just have a quick look.” We’d like to reach each destination.
2. If you fall…
We will check you’re okay… then laugh. Standard procedure.
3. No dropping Dave.
Absolutely no speeding off and leaving him behind. We collectively have to make sure he is always happy and content. While we are away it’s “that time of the month”… and he may require “maintenance stops.”
4. Dom must remain part of the group.
This is a bikepacking trip, not a European dating tour. No stopping to charm every passer-by. Eyes forward, legs turning.
5. Snack equality is non-negotiable.
If one person opens Haribo, it becomes a public resource. Hoarding will result in immediate confiscation.
6. What happens in the tent… stays in the tent.
Except The Rev’s feet, they stay in his own fucking tent and nowhere else!
7. Mechanical issues = group issues.
Even if it’s “The Cunt’s” fault (which it will be).
8. Respect “The Rev”.
No swearing, foul language, or morally questionable storytelling within a 10-metre radius. Slip-ups will be punished by forced hymn singing on climbs.
9. Coffee and food stops are sacred.
Miss one, and Jamie could crumble and need immediate medical assistance.
10. Regroup Regularly.
Not “wait 10 seconds then carry on Dom.”
11. Photos or it didn’t happen.
Preferably taken while someone is suffering in the background.
12. What happens in Dave’s pants.
Stays in Dave’s pants!
